This is a recording of an interview Marin Alsop did on BBC radio. She discusses her new appointment to the Bournemouth Symphony. She answers many different questions about what it is like to be a woman in this career field, and discusses how people feel about a woman having this kind of appointment. There are some points in the interview recording that is a little distorted, but most of the audio is good. This interview is a great example of a married woman trying to break into the world of conducting, and what the challenges are.
